ECS Broadcast Engineering specializes in Monthly Frequency Verification and Field Strength Measurements. Other engineering services we are available to perform are Transmitter Installations, AM compliance measurements, Studio Installations and Repairs, and Emergency Transmitter Repairs.
ECS Broadcast Engineering strives to meet or exceed all standards set forth in the FCC Rules and Regulations. Our equipment is locked to the NIST through use of GPS reference recievers to insure the highest accuracy possible. We perform all measurements in accordance with good engineering practices, and in accordance with the procedures detailed in the FCC Rules and Regulations governing the Broadcast Industry.
Field Strength Measurements:
Below is an example of the type of information you would recieve on a standard Field Strength Survey. You will recieve several maps showing the exact location of each test site, the amount of signal measured at each site, and the gps coordinates for each site tested. Monthly Frequency Verification Services:
Using Commercial grade communication recievers that are locked to the NIST through the use of the measuring recievers external reference, we measure your frequency down to the single Hz. Each month you will recieve a written report containing your exact licensed frequency and your exact measured frequency. Frequencies measured include the visual and aural carriers for Analog TV, the pilot carrier for Digital TV, and the on air operating frequency for AM and FM radio. It is one of the cheapest forms of insurance your station can have. It also gives you the nessessary documents should you ever have to prove your facilities legal operation to the FCC or competitors.

Using a staff of engineers with over 50 years in the Broadcasting industry, we at ECS are quite confident we can handle any Broadcast Engineering service you may require.
